You can choose between gallery view and speaker view in both the default and side-by-side layout modes. Zoom will switch the camera depending on who is speaking. Gallery View (displayed at left) displays up to 48 participants on screen simultaneously while Speaker View shows only one participant at a time. Your cursor will become arrows and you can click and drag left and right to resize the windows. Hover your mouse over the crease between the video windows and the shared screen window. With side-by-side enabled, you can resize the shared screen and the participants' video windows. If you leave it disabled, you will see the shared screen and the video window in the minimized view described above. It’s on the bottom of that drop down menu. To enable it, click the “view options…” drop down tab at the top of the screens. When someone shares their screen with you, you can choose to enable “Side-by-Side mode”, pictured above. When Someone Shares Their Screen Shared Screen View If you’re looking at another application and you need to go back to the normal Zoom view, hover over the video window and click the “Exit minimized view” icon. To go back to the normal view, click the red stop “Stop Share”. Choose your mode by clicking the icons in the top left of the video window.Īs long as you’re sharing your screen, the view will stay in minimized video. There are three modes in this view: Thumbnail mode, Speaker mode, or Hide Video mode.

You can click and drag it to where you’d like.

While you’re in a Zoom meeting and you share your screen or open another application like an internet browser, the video still displays in a small “minimized” window that floats over your screen. The window changes so frequently when screens are shared, participants join or leave, or the video window changes places.
